Alexey Shalashinski is a mining engineer graduated from Tallinn University of Technology, and is holding MBA title from Tartu University in Estonia. He has been involved in various projects in mining industry during last 17 years in Russia and CIS countries as well as in Australia, Canada, India, South Africa and several other countries. In DMT Alexey is in charge of business development for mining engineering branch and sales coordination of all mining consulting offices of the group.

Mining is one of the few industries yet to enter digital Revolution in a big way. There is little doubt about it. Can the solutions and approaches used in other industries for years and even decades be adopted by mining industry or is it more reasonable to create own path. The presentation will concentrate on the core essentials of the digitalization in mining, state of the process, core benefits for miners and possible developments based on the experience of DMT and partner companies.
