Prospects for a new stage of exploration in Kazakhstan
The problem of replenishing the mineral resource base by mining companies can be solved by acquiring already explored deposits or by searching for new deposits. The exploration strategy of Kazzinc LLP is based on the modern understanding of the search characteristics of deposits of different genetic types, new highly efficient technologies for obtaining and processing data.
For the discovery of a new deposit, large exploration areas are needed and not less than 6 years of stage work from obtaining a contract for geological exploration. What is the basis for the success of exploration campaigns? There are three conditions:
"Know what to look for" - geological, geophysical, geochemical, economic models of deposits limit the search conditions and attributes of deposits.
"Know where" - when reassessing large promising areas, we should have technologies that allow us to more quickly and more efficiently approach work with retrospective geological information as the basis for forecasting.
"Know how" - we need to have new technologies and techniques that allow us to study these large areas on a qualitatively new level in order to reveal the additional potential of "blind" mineralization at depth.
