Mr Edwards was appointed Chief Representative of LSEG’s China office in 2015. Jon and his teams in London, Hong Kong and Beijing work with the investment community to promote LSEG listed and traded products to companies in China and Asia Pacific. Prior to taking up his post in Beijing, he was co-head of Emerging Markets, looking after business development activities in Russia, CIS & Asia Pacific. In his current role, he continues to engage with some of the key markets among the Belt & Road countries, particularly with respect to large-scale mining and infrastructure projects. Mr Edwards studied at Columbia University where he received his BA degree in Russian studies and joint JD/MBA degree in business and law. He joined the London Stock Exchange in August 2003, before which he worked on private equity transactions for Delta Capital and BNP-Invest.
