In 2000 graduated Saint-Petersburg Electrotechnical University majoring in automation and control systems. In 2000-2004 studied in the graduate school in the Baltic State Technical University "Voenmeh" majoring in system analysis, control system and data processing. In 2004 earned PhD by successfully defending the thesis “Improving control over braking and acceleration of the rail transport”.
In 1999-2005 Rostislav Bilik worked for HC “Leninets” developing embedded software for aircraft radars and rail transport. In 2004 he became the head of a software engineering laboratory.
In 2005-2010 Rostislav worked for Motorola, wherein various positions (from an engineer to the acting architect of a big international project) was engaged in projects on telematics software engineering for Daimler Chrysler and Continental.
Since 2010 Rostislav has been leading the AGR development project (automation of geological exploration). In 2015 the project became an independent business run by AGR Software LLC, with Rostislav Bilik as Director General.
Industry 4.0: Innovative IT solutions for Geological Exploration.
Over the last years, mineral developers tend to outsource drilling and geological activities. Therefore, the importance of control over subcontractors becomes an ever-increasing issue. Customers expect now not just monthly reports but want to monitor qualitative and quantitative indicators online.
As a matter of fact, a new information environment is required to ensure efficiency of mineral developers and their subcontractors. The first and foremost step in this process is to standardize exploration projects. This can be achieved by using the AGR system, which applies digital corporate standards and all-digital collection of raw data.
The next stage implies aggregation of raw geological data and its visual display for the purpose of monitoring and decision-making. A dashboard turns out to be the best tool to display main KPIs of a project. However, basing KPIs on raw data is imperative, because in this case, KPIs are true, consistent and online compliant (processing paper reports is becoming a thing of the past).
All things considered, AGR roadmap focuses on new functionality that will calculate and visualize KPIs of exploration projects online. We invite everyone interested in the AGR Software stand to learn more about our best practices in the field of monitoring and supervision of exploration projects.
