Abildin Erniyaz was born in Karaganda region, and graduated from the specialised school for gifted child "Daryn" in 2012. In 2017 he received bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Nazarbayev University. After graduating from the university, he enrolled in a master's program in the Mountain Engineering program at Nazarbayev University.
Geometallurgy and its application in mine planning
The idea of this presentation is to construct the block model for mineral resource reporting based on the Geometallurgical variables rather than the grades. The benefit of modelling those variables can be improvement and optimisation of mineral processing plant and mine planning.
The geometallurgical variables (such as: RQD, RMR, BWI, WI) can be modelled in a 3D block model and then apply obtained results into the process of mine planning. The traditional approach of mine planning and scheduling is based on the grades (e.g. Copper) that is somehow not enough to characterise the reliable mine planning and economical consideration. In this thesis, it is of interest to incorporate some other variables (i.e. geometallurical ones) in mine planning to improve the scheduling and mine planning process.
