Yulia is a Project Engineer in WAI engaged in, amongst other tasks, mineral projects appraisal, QA/QC, mineral resource assessment (Micromine), along with technical due diligence. Yulia has multilingual communication skills, proficient in both Russian and English. Yulia studied geochemistry and geology at the Novosibirsk State University, specialising in sheared peridotite xenoliths from the Udachnaya kimberlite pipe, Yakutia. Upon graduation, Yulia was engaged as a Geoscientist/Engineer with the Sobolev Institute of Geology and Mineralogy, Novosibirsk, studying structural, geochemical and mineralogical characteristics of mantle rocks, also working as an intern with Alrosa to investigate diamond exploration. As a Doctoral researcher at the Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, Yulia get her PhD degree in geoscience with a thesis entitled “Structure of the crust and the lithospheric mantle in Siberia”. For the project Yulia gathered, processed and provided QC of a wide range of modern and historical geophysical and geological data. The results of the study are published in international journals. Been a Research Assistant in the same time Yulia undertook laboratory sessions/seminars as well as delivering lectures in geophysics. Yulia has also been employed by WesternGeco International Resources Ltd. (Schlumberger) as a Seismic Engineer providing data QC and processing in land seismic exploration projects in Egypt.
